Lyrical Assembly is in Estes Park, Colorado this week for the 1001 NWC National Gathering, a retreat for new worshiping community leaders hosted by 1001 New Worshiping Communities of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The Lyrical Assembly team is attending as participants.
In the organizers' words: "This year's National Gathering is an invitation to (re)Consider Jesus for our times and context. Not as an abstract idea but as our source of peace and stability; as the living trailblazer of the path of faith we are all traversing." The theme draws on Hebrews 12:1-3.

Why we are going
Lyrical Assembly took shape as a New Worshiping Community, supported in its early years by a PC(USA) 1001 New Worshiping Communities Seed Grant. This week is a chance to rest, reconnect with leaders across the network, and bring back what we learn to our community in the Bay Area.
