Artists + Creatives
Musicians, poets, filmmakers, designers, dancers, producers, curators, and creative teams.
An idea. A space. A possibility.
A reason to build together.
Lyrical Opposition collaborates with artists, organizations, communities, venues, and creative partners to make projects, events, stories, and shared experiences possible.
Bring a question or a developed idea. You don’t need a finished proposal to start a conversation.

WHAT COULD WE CREATE?
These are forms a collaboration might take—not a list of services or resources currently promised by LO.
Performances, screenings, exhibitions, festivals, artist conversations, pop-ups, and community gatherings.
Workshops, artist development, mentorship, learning experiences, conversations, and special programs.
Films, music, public art, documentaries, interdisciplinary work, creative research, and cultural preservation.
Podcasts, interviews, photography, video, editorial work, documentation, and community stories.
Creative or performance space, production access, materials, equipment, hospitality, and other in-kind contributions.
Commissions, residencies, performances, workshops, professional opportunities, and creative development.
Neighborhood projects, cultural events, place-based work, community engagement, and long-term relationships.
ROOM FOR A CONVERSATION
Some collaborations begin with a fully developed project. Others begin with a question, an available space, a community need, or “What could we make together?”
Tell us what you imagine. LO can consider alignment, capacity, timing, and a useful next step. Not every inquiry will become a partnership.
COLLABORATION IS RECIPROCAL
A healthy collaboration grows from what each person or organization brings. An idea can sit alongside artistic practice, community relationships, expertise, resources, or a place to gather.
You do not need funding to share an idea. Being clear about strengths, needs, and available resources helps shape an honest conversation.
POSSIBLE CONNECTIONS WITH LO
The right collaboration may connect to one or more parts of the Lyrical Opposition ecosystem. Each possibility has its own scope and available resources.
FROM THE LO ARCHIVE

LO’s collaboration with Atelier for Healing in San Bruno brings art, storytelling, and community into a shared creative space. The Tanforan open house brought the Re-Entrification exhibition, live music, and conversation into that environment.
A project, a space, and a public gathering can become different parts of the same relationship.

SHARE → CONSIDER
Tell us what you imagine, why LO, and what each side might bring. The team considers alignment, capacity, and timing.
CONVERSATION → SCOPE
If there is a connection, an appropriate lead may reach out. Together, the parties can clarify resources, responsibilities, expectations, and scope.
CREATE → SHARE
An agreed collaboration may lead to a project, event, experience, or ongoing relationship, with a plan for sharing or presenting the work.
This is a possible path, not a guaranteed progression. Some ideas may be better suited to another LO pathway or may not be a fit.
SPECIFIC OPPORTUNITIES / RIGHT NOW
Specific calls have their own scope and availability. The inquiry below remains open for ideas beyond those calls.

COLLABORATION INQUIRY
Tell us who you are, what you imagine, and why LO feels like a possible partner. An early idea is enough.
